Our ethical
and theological deliberations provide unequivocal guidance for our policy and
activities within the field of development: Our principle and aim is to create
decent conditions for all. All inhabitants of the earth, including future
generations, have the right not only to survive but also to live a life of
fulfilment in human dignity. Decent human conditions exist where the poor can
live and are accepted as subjects of their own action and history. This is why
the poor must be the focal point of any development strategy. Against this
background we observe, comment and work on the international, European and
German development policy.
